EHS Data: Carbon Negative Pledge Update 2023-2024
In 2020 after several years of being carbon neutral we successfully met our pledge of achieving Carbon negative status and since this date have strived to maintain this status each year.
Why is it important to be a carbon negative business?
With human activity increasingly putting pressure on our planet and its resources we believe that there is a responsibility for carbon producing organisations to actively try and offset their impact by not only implementing a carbon neutral strategy but to also work towards and maintain a carbon negative future. As a result, EHS Data set a pledge to attain carbon negative status in 2020.
Implementing A Carbon Negative Strategy
To continue to meet our pledge of being carbon negative we have utilised a variety of methods including:
- We minimise travel to client sites where possible.
- We funded tree planting via donations to the Woodland Trust.
- We continue to utilise solar panels at our head office, and ensure our electricity supply is from renewable sources.

- We source recyclable products where possible
- We implemented and have continued to be a paper free office for over 10 years.
Have We Met Our Pledge For 2023-2024?
For the year 2023-2024 we had a carbon deficit of 30tC02e and we offset this by 50tC02e, therefore we have again successfully met our carbon negative pledge for 2023-2024.
