MonitorPro Update: Version 20
EHS Data has just released it’s newest update for it’s environmental database management software MonitorPro – Version 20. This new update contains a number of new features along with improvements to product performance, security, and stability.
New features of MonitorPro version 20
1. Updates to MP-Field
2 new updates have been added into MP-Field: Sampling Instructions and Containers.
- Sampling instructions:
The MP-Field tab now allows users to input additional information to be displayed in MP-Field during sample collection. This information would typically include additional sampling instructions, working procedures, or other information that cannot be included in the variable name.
- Containers:
Any containers or preservatives associated with a Monitoring Schedule will now be visible by the user in MP-Field during sample collection. This can help technicians ensure they are using the correct containers for the required analysis.
2. MP-Web Graphing Options
2 graphing improvements have been included into the update: Display points/line options, and axis labels and titles.
- Display points/line options:
Graphing outputs in MonitorPro now include an option to toggle the visibility of the points and connecting lines on a graph plot depending upon a user’s requirements. Meaning a user can choose to display lines with no data points, lines with data points, or just data points with no connecting lines.
- Axis labels and titles:
More options are now included to ensure that axis titles are included when a chart is either downloaded or added to the MonitorPro dashboard.
3. Monitoring Schedules ALS eQuote
MonitorPro can now accept to ALS eQuote (provided as an XML) to automates the creation of Sample Templates in the MonitorPro Monitoring Scheduler.
4. MP-Web General Calculator
This update includes a number of calculator improvements in MP-Web, meaning the General Calculator now provides the same functionality as the Generic and Specific Calculators in MP-Desktop.
5. Aliasing
2 new aliasing features are now available in both MP-Web and MP-Desktop: Multi-Column Aliasing, and Conditional Aliasing.
- Multi-Column Aliasing:
Data received from external sources may contain a shared or single key identifier, creating challenges in decoding the single identifier when importing into MonitorPro. Previously completed using pre-processing macros this is now completed within MonitorPro using Multi-Column Aliasing.
- Conditional Aliasing:
Aliasing can be conditional based on information included at import, other than the direct object object itself, such as the variable name. This can be useful in examples such as total and dissolved metals, where the lab doesn’t define the status in the variable name, but rather in the Test Method.
