MonitorPro: Helping Clients in Nevada Meet Environmental Regulations
MonitorPro has had several clients in Nevada since 2014, this number has increased significantly over the last few years due to the increasing number of new mine sites operating in the region and the advantages brought to these operators by MonitorPro, including improved environmental data management and highly configurable abilities which enable operators to easily meet the Nevada’s Division of Environmental Protection Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (BMRR) reporting requirements.
Nevada Environmental Permit Requirements
The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection issue Water Pollution Control Permit’s (WPCP) to all operators in Nevada, these permits require operators to submit reports to The Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (BMRR), failure to do so results in a violation of an operators permit and can result in non-compliance fines and site closures.
BMRR requires the submission the data both electronically to their database and in addition WPCP reporting forms including NDEP form 0190.
MonitorPro and BMRR
Using MonitorPro simplifies both the creation of required reports and spreadsheets and thier submission, saving users a considerable amount of time compared to doing it manually. Alerts can also be generated, ensuring the correct users are notified if a report deadline is approaching, this ensures non-compliance issues cannot occur through the failure to submit a report at the required date.
BMRR Electronic Data Submission
To successfully submit data through the BMRR electronic data portal it has to be in a spreadsheet format which matches their existing database. This means the location ID, variable names, units, date format etc. need to be the same, otherwise submission will not be successful and could trigger a non-compliance. MonitorPro has developed a spreadsheet format which matches the BMRR database (and which is updated when edits are made by the BMRR), and MonitorPro can automatically pull the required data from your database into this spreadsheet ready for upload. This ensures the correct data formats and saves a significant amount of time compared to doing it manually.
NDEP Forms
In addition to BMRR electric data submission, many clients also submit NDEP report forms such as NDEP 0190. MonitorPro has a NDEP form template and it will automatically pull to required data from your database to populate the form which can be downloaded as a .pdf for submission.
Additional Data in .PDF Format
Some clients have additional data to include along with their electronic data submission to the BMRR which is required in .pdf format, this can include: graphs, tables, text, photos and other additionally required data analysis. MonitorPro dashboards provides a way for users to display the required data which can then be exported as .pdf for sending.
