MonitorPro's Expansion in the US: Utah

Revival Gold recently selected MonitorPro as its Environmental Data Management System (EDMS) for its Mercur Gold Project (Mercur), expanding MonitorPro’s presence in the US into Utah.

MonitorPro has clients throughout North America including Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, Michigan and California, and are now expanding into Utah.

Revival Gold

Revival Gold acquired Mercur from Barrick Mining (Barrick) on April 1, 2026. Barrick operated the site during the 80s and 90s, and Revival Gold plans to reopen Mercur following applicable design and engineering studies, and regulatory permitting (https://revival-gold.com/mercur/).

Revival Gold is committed to ensure its environmental impact at Mercur is minimal, and that an established EDMS is in place prior to the site becoming operational.  Revival Gold selected MonitorPro to help them create a secure, centralised database to efficiently manage their environmental data and ensure compliance.

Using MonitorPro to Simplify Environmental Data Management

Revival Gold utilises several of MonitorPro’s key features to help simplify environmental data management, including: Exports, Permit Compliance, Scheduled Tasks, MP-Field and Obligations.

Exports

Utah requires operators to submit water quality data to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) as part of their groundwater quality discharge permit.  Before the MonitorPro implementation, Revival Gold sent laboratory reports directly to DEQ, but now they use MonitorPro’s built-in table feature to generate the reports.

Permit Compliance

In addition to creating exports to send to DEQ, Revival Gold set water quality compliance limits in MonitorPro, which sends users email alerts if an exceedance occurs.

Scheduled Tasks

Revival Gold has set up task reminders to track their completion using MonitorPro’s Scheduled Tasks. This feature tracks non-data related regulatory tasks by issuing escalating alerts if the tasks are not completed.

MP-Field

For their field environmental data collection, Revival Gold utilises MonitorPro’s digital field data collection tool, MP-Field.  Field data is collected on a phone or tablet utilising drop down menus and date pickers alongside other validation checks to minimise data input errors.  This data is then automatically uploaded to the cloud database. It also shows the percentage completion of each monitoring period, and alerts users if a sample has been missed.

Obligations

The obligations feature in MonitorPro enables users to pull together information related to their compliance limits, Monitoring Schedules and Scheduled Tasks for a holistic view of their permit compliance.  It allows them to utilise reporting widgets on their dashboards to get a clear overview of the site performance.

Obligations

MonitorPro: The Smart Approach to Environmental Data Management

MonitorPro has provided Revival Gold with a method of centralising and simplifying their environmental data management. By utilising key features such as Compliance, Obligations, and Reporting functions, MonitorPro has enabled Revival Gold to comprehensibly manage their environmental data. As part of the implementation process the team at EHS Data worked with Revival Gold to import a vast amount of historical environmental data, and following integration of the applicable permitting and reporting obligations into MonitorPro, gives Revival Gold an intuitive and easy to use EDMS.
